ABOUT YAHRZEIT

Yahrzeit (Yiddish for "a year's time") is the anniversary of the death of a loved one. The observance of Yahrzeit is a sacred mark of reverence for those we remember. It imparts a dimension of sanctity and immortality to life. Yahrzeits are typically recognized at the Shabbat service before the date of death. In most cases, we recognize this date according to the Hebrew calendar unless a congregant requests recognition based on the Gregorian calendar. Yahrzeits observed on the Gregorian date are indicated with an *. Let us know your preferences or of any error...

To be remembered on our tree of life with love & gratitude by a friend or relative is a beautiful gift. Give to those living or in memory of those departed.

 

You can purchase an engraved Yahrzeit gold filled leaf or plaque to be displayed on the tree of life, or our memorial board in our sanctuary.

Memorial plaque = $360.00

 

When you purchase a memorial plaque, this Yahrziet will be in our Book of Memory and read aloud during Yom Kippur.
