We have weekly Shabbat services every Friday night at 7:30PM, both in person and on Zoom. In addition to our lay leaders, we have a rabbi-led service once a month.
We hope that you will be able to join us in person for our Shabbat services, but if you cannot, we welcome you to join us via Zoom!

Temple Ner Ami often has special holiday or other services. Check back regularly for upcoming special services!

YAHRZEIT
The anniversary of someone’s death.
The observance of yahrzeit is a sacred mark of reverence for those we remember. It imparts a dimension of sanctity and immortality to life. Our tradition enjoins us to kindle a memorial candle at home and to recite Kaddish at Temple services. Many Jews fulfill the mitzvah of tzedakah by making a contribution to the Temple in honor of someone or in memory of relatives and friends. Contributions can be made by Zelle, check, or credit card.
ONE SPECIAL TRIBUTE
Another way to honor your loved one is by sponsoring a Shabbat Oneg after our Friday Shabbat services. Click the "Oneg" tab above for more information about sponsoring an Oneg for a departed loved one or to honor or thank someone living.
A CONTINUING REMEMBRANCE:
We have gold-filled engraved leaves on a beautiful Tree of Life display in our lobby. For a donation of $180, we will have your personal message engraved in memory of your loved one. This Tree of Life is not only for the departed: your brief message on a leaf honoring a friend or relative makes a beautiful gift to those living.
A PERMANENT REMEMBRANCE:
Plaques on our Memorial Board are available for a donation of $360 and will be displayed forever. In addition, names on the memorial plaque are listed in the Book of Memory and read aloud each year during the Yom Kippur Yizkor (Memorial) Service.
Please contact the Temple Office if you want to make a donation for one of these tributes.

“A good life has its number of days, but a good name endures forever.”
SPONSORING AN ONEG
Your name will be read from the Bimah at the beginning of the Service and you show as a sponsor on the large screen and on Zoom. Then, if you are attending in person, you will be invited to do the Shabbat candle blessing. There may be more than one sponsor for each Oneg.
There are three options available for hosting a Shabbat Oneg. Please reach out one to two weeks before the Friday you want to sponsor. Contact the Temple Office for more information.
